I had them come out to assess my A/C and I was told that I needed two parts replaced. The parts were covered under warranty but they quoted me $2,400 in labor. I declined and the tech left. I got a call twenty minutes later by a manager who acted as if he was best friend and offered to cut the service fee in half to $1,200. I told him I still need to check around. I called another authorized Trane rep and they quoted me $385 in labor for the same job. They came out the next day and it turns out the problems the Sanborn tech listed were not even the correct problem. The unit merely needed a new motor run capacitor. The whole job was $300 not $2,400 for something that did not need to be done in the first place.

Sanbor's Generator Installation Service
I have serious concerns regarding my experience with Sanbor’s, particularly highlighting issues with the sales and office staff. Sales staff provided false information to secure my business, while the office staff attempted to cover up their mistakes and provided me with inaccurate information.
Key points from my review include:
- I requested the installation of a whole home generator due to recent power outages and wildfires.
- The salesman promised that the installation would be completed within two days, and said the quick turnaround is due to having four installation teams.
- I believe the price of the quote was significantly inflated due to demand for generator installations because of the recent wildfires and numerous power outages. The only reason I agreed to the cost was due to the promised quick completion time.
- Despite the initial promise, the installation took 52 days to complete. The delay was primarily due to errors in the permit application process:
- The permit was incorrectly filed with San Bernardino County instead of the City of San Bernardino, causing a two-week delay.
- The permit application needed corrections, leading to further delays.
- I had to notify Sanbor's about the permit readiness myself, due to a lack of follow-up from the office staff.
- During the extended process, I experienced two power outages.
- Despite the issues with the sales and office staff, the installers did a great job.
I have permit records and video evidence supporting my claims and am willing to provide verification if needed. This review is a warning for potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with Sanbor’s due to the significant delays and misinformation encountered during my business with them.
