They can add cooling or heating to a particular location in your home without having to add any ductwork. They are perfect if you want to turn that attic or garage space into a living area.
In addition, they allow the luxury of “zoning”, setting different temperatures in different rooms. There can be as many as four indoor air handlers connected to one outdoor condenser.
Mini splits are also easy to install. All that’s required is a three-inch hole to connect the air handler to the outside condenser. In addition, the outdoor unit can be up to 50-feet away, hidden behind shrubs or behind the house.
